As a former teen mom and then single mother of two, I can understand the difficulties faced when experiencing food insecurity and poverty. I struggled to make ends meet, and because of my previous experience, I am passionate about helping others get the resources they need during their time of need. No parent or child should ever have to go hungry.
The memories of trips to food pantries and of selling our belongings to buy a cheap box of mac and cheese from the dollar store are still vivid in my mind, and I refuse to sit back and do nothing.
Below is a list of community resources where anyone can get non-perishable food items, fresh food, and a hot meal.
Some of these resources are for people who live in that specific county; others require a call, an appointment, or an application first, so PLEASE double-check all resources before visiting them.
PLEASE NOTE: You can also call 2-1-1 to get your LOCAL available resources.
